April 2012 – Students Pass Exams

Five of Farmer’s Market students passed the challenging primary exams and have graduated to the next level! Congratulations to Patrick Kioko Wayua, Peter Nganga, Kennedy Mutua Wambua, Ann Benta and Crispin Omondi for your outstanding achievements.

Peter Nganga is attending the Olchekut Supat Apostolic School at Lemek in Narok. On Feb.2nd Saumu Mwanaasha and Marieta Masila accompanied Peter on his trip to the school – an 8 hour journey! The Lemek Catholic Parish was kind enough to allow them to spend the night before making the long journey back.

Patrick Kioka Wayua is enrolled in the Riabai Boys High School in Kiambu. Marieta and Saumu ensured Patrick made it to the school and got settled on Feb.3rd. Kennedy Mutua Wambua chose a day school close to home, making an easier commute to school each day. Christine Mbula accompanied Kennedy on his first day to school on Feb 9th.

Ann Benta has decided to repeat Grade 8 and re-sit for her exams at the end of the year. She hopes to improve her marks to increase her chance of joining a good secondary school. Crispin Omondi is joining a youth course in his desired field to acquire the knowledge and skills he needs to succeed.

We are very proud of the achievements our students have made this year. We wouldn’t have been able to provide these children with an education if not for our generous donors. Thank you!
