Farmer’s Market Projects
Goat Bank Co-op
Farmer’s Market formed a Goat Bank Co-op with five families from a poor agricultural area. Together as a group, they take care of the five goats provided by Farmer’s Market, breeding them and producing offspring.
The Co-op will continue this process for three more years, allowing the herd to grow. Upon completion of the three years, the Co-op will meet and decide as a group what to do with the resulting herd (approximately 20 goats): they may continue growing the herd or they may sell the animals and divide the proceeds.
